John Cleary, Sr., age 63, of Dayton, passed away October 16, 2022. He was born August 27, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late James and Julia Cleary. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his baby brother, James "Jimbo" Cleary, Jr. (Jennifer Cuffe); brothers and sisters-in-law: Timothy Rutherford (Brenda) and Cynthia Faught (Doug). John is survived by his wife, Debby Cleary; daughter, Candi Shepherd; son, John Cleary, Jr. (Christina); fur baby, Ozzy; fur grand-babies: Stella and Joey; sisters: Julia Cleary and Cassandra "Dee" Williams (Rick); brother, Mitchell Leivas; nieces and nephews: William Rutherford (Heather), Angie Hamilton (Chris), Wendi Littlejohn, Jennifer Ullmer (Chris), Sarah Williams (Dennis), Britni Cleary-Woods (Kenny), Brandon Curtis (Lacy Ferris), Beau Cleary, Lacy Williams (Rob Welsh), Bradley Cleary-Williams, Rachel Johnson; and many, many other relatives and friends. John was a dedicated father and lived for his family. He loved music, fishing and motorcycles. John's smile and mood were infectious. He loved deeply for all animals, especially his fur babies. John and his cooking will be missed. One of the best ones with John and my BFF, Sister and Jimbo,Mitchell is going on the motorcycles and going on those long rides. We all had so much fun! Then when I would fly into Ohio and John would always cook me my favorite chicken and dumpling's . And all of us getting together at Sisters house and BBQing playing music and just having so much fun!! I will really miss that! Plus I knew John as a big brother to me he always had my back!! Only God knows the When and Why.... Heaven must have needed another Angel. Cousin, So glad we were able to reconnect I will cherish our chats about your RV, Fishing, Music and Living at Lake Okeechobee. I have so many Wonderful memories growing up together same age, same schools, same classes never a dull moment. Loading into your Dad's Cadillac at lunch time to go to McDonalds. Stopping by your work at WTC to say Hi to you and shoot the crap because we worked so close together. All the Thanksgiving Dinners together, Christmas Parties So many great funny times when we were kids growing up together down the street across the street around the corner never far from one another as kids we had great times together and also got in trouble together. So many memories of our childhood I will cherish forever. You were sweet, kind and had a great sense of humor. You are now in the company of so many beloved family members What a reunion it must be. Love you so much. This is not good bye, but see you later. Dee Dee and Juicy, try to take comfort from the good times and memories you have of your Big Brother.
