Loree is the daughter of Phillip James and Virginia Ruth (Houston) Shaw. She married Brian P. Shaw, Class of 1966, on September 21, 1968 in Los Angeles. They lived in Lennox and Cerritos before moving to Clovis, California in 1994. Loree died in her sleep just two weeks after Brian, the love of her life, passed away from cardiac arrest in a hospital in Fresno.
