Hear ye!  I am Officially Retired. Family and Friends!  Today is a day that never entered my thoughts - my first official day of retirement after a cumulation of nearly 50 years working in some fashion or another. Seems incredible!  Here's a synopsis of my work experience:
1961-1962 = Anaheim Bulletin: Delivered newspapers.  1962-1963 = Los Angeles Herald-Examiner: Delivered newspapers.
1963-1965 = Los Angeles Times: Delivered newspapers (0300-0700 everyday) and stuffed the Sunday edition with flyers and advertisements (which took four days).
1965-1965 = Big Donut Drive-In, Inglewood, CA: Baked and served donuts. Today it is better known as "Randy's Donuts" as seen on television frequently.
1965-1967 = United States Navy: Seaman Boatswains Mate aboard the USS Taconic (AGC-17).
1967-1969 = United States Postal Service, Inglewood, CA: Clerk-Carrier.
1969-1977 = Los Angeles County Sheriff\'s Department: Corrections Officer, Deputy Sheriff, and Criminal/Statistical Analyst.
1977-1980 = Indian Wells Valley Water District, Ridgecrest, CA: General Manager.
1980-1981 = Hamilton & Associates: Governmental Relations Consultants: Owner and Principal Consultant. Even owned and worked a gold mine in Hawthorne, NV - all we found was the shaft!
1981-2010 = Department of Defense with tours of duty at China Lake, CA; Point Mugu, CA; Port Hueneme, CA; Washington, D.C., including the White House, Congress, and the Pentagon; Barking Sands, Kauai, Hawaii; and many other exotic locations world-wide.

Hereafter, Diane and I plan to travel the country in our RV, visit family and friends, and look for a place to retire: probably Jacksonville, Florida.  Reason: Florida does not have a state income tax plus we have many friends and family members living there.

After leaving Lennox HS in Dec 1965, joined the Navy to see the world. What happened was that I became very familiar with Naval Base Norfolk, VA. But that was then and this is now. Still working for the Navy in Port Hueneme, CA, though.

Attended the Class Reunion in Las Vegas in Sept 2002 and had a great time. Most important, however, is that Jesus Christ is in my life. God Bless everybody. 8/6/03
