Bill Judge passed away early July of 1968 he was in the Navy and stationed on a ship in Long Beach and while on leave he had an accident and fell, while climbing on the cliffs at Torey Pines near San Diego. In July of 68 I was sent to the Long Beach Navel Station to be discharge and while waiting, they had me doing Gate Duty, checking people on and off the base, within the first hour of my duty two girls drove up and they wanted to see the ship that ones boy friend was stationed on, they told me about how he had died just a day or so earlier in this accident. I had someone else take my watch and got in the back seat and had them drive out to the wharf where I showed them the ship. All the time I did not know that it was the same William Judge from Lennox. It wasn't until the next time I talked to my brother and he told me that a class member of mine had died in this accident at Torey Pines that I realized. So another name can be added to the memorial class of 64. To many of us gone.
