Phil Gutierrez, Jr passed away January 20, 2017 after a lengthy battle with diabetes.  He was born in Santa Barbara CA September 26, 1945.  He is survived by his wife Wilmma (Thompson) Gutierrez (Lennox High Class of 1964), brother John Gutierrez (Lennox High Class of 1966), sister Liz (Gutierrez) Ventura (Lennox High Class of 1967, sister Patricia Gutierrez (Lennox High Class of 1974),  three children, Brent, Crystal, Jon Patrick, many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Phil served in the Army Harbor Patrol in Korea 1967-1969.  He worked as a Senior Port Steward at Pan Anerican Airlines for 20 years.  Phild had a barber shop in North Hollywood, working as a barber for 30 years. 

The Gutierrez family would like to thank all of you who visited, made phone calls, sent cards and prayers and those of you that attended the Memorial in Thousand Oaks and Riverside.  You are such a Blessing.  God Bless You.

HELLO FROM THE GUTIERREZ FAMILY WE ARE ALL DOING FINE. WE'RE ALL IN THE HAIR BUSINESS LIKE OUR FATHER AND SOME OF OUR KIDS HAVE FOLLOWED THE FAMILY TRADE.   AS FOR PHIL MARRIED 2 TIMES, 2ND MARRIAGE TO WILMA MY X GIRL FRIEND FROM OUR CLASS.   I HAVE 3 KIDS 2 BOYS AND 1 GIRL AND HAD MY 2ND BOY AT THE AGE OF 50. AS FOR JOHN GUTIERREZ BEEN MARRIED AND DIVORCE AND HAVE 3 KIDS AND ALL TO HAD MY LAST BOY AT THE AGE OF 50 DOING GOOD AND HAVE A SHOP IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD WITH PHIL.   AS FOR LIZ HER LAST NAME IS VENTURA AND LIVES IN CAMARRILO AND ALSO DOES HAIR, HAS BEEN MARRIED 2 TIMES AND HAS 4 KIDS 3 GIRLS 1 BOY AND IS DOING REALLY GOOD. AND LAST LITTLE SISTER PATRICIA (PAT) THAT NEVER MARRIED BUT HAS 1 DAUGHTER AND WAS IN THE NAIL BUSINESS AND IS ALSO DOING GOOD.   OUR PARENTS ARE STILL LIVING, THE BOTH 80 YEARS OLD AND POPS STILL CUTTING HAIR AND HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 60 YEARS THIS YEAR.
