Marilyn was the older of two daughters, born Mar. 13, 1944 to Robert W. Haack and Mildred M. Hotzell. She was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and graduated from Lennox High in 1961. She first attended Cal-State Long Beach, then did clerical work for the State College system while studying nursing at Long Beach City College, where she got her nursing degree in 1985.

She was married to James D. Warren 1966-1974 and they had one son, Ron, who was the light of her life. Marilyn was thrilled to become a grandmother when Ron adopted three children from Russia a few years before Marilyn passed away on October 23, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she had relocated and worked as a nurse.

Marilyn is buried at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
