Jon William Ross, 84, of Huntersville, NC passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville. The United States Air Force will render full Military Honors at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM.

Served in the US Air Force as a pilot, flying over 100 missions in Vietnam in the EA-66 jet, and attained the rank of Major.

The tradition for a pilots last flight is to washdown the plane as it taxis to stop and then spraying the pilot down after they are far enough way from the cockpit so the inside of the plane doesn't get wet.
